Overview
We developed an emergency healthcare application designed to provide instant access to doctors, hospitals, emergency services, and healthcare consultations through a unified digital platform.
The Challenge
In a medical emergency, minutes matter. The client needed an app where someone in distress could trigger help, get located, and reach a doctor without navigating a complicated interface, while also supporting routine consultations and health record access for ongoing care.
The Solution
We built native Kotlin and Swift apps around a one-tap SOS feature that captures GPS location and alerts responders in real time, backed by a Node.js API on AWS with MongoDB and PostgreSQL for flexible records and structured clinical data respectively. WebRTC powers video consultations with doctors, and Socket.IO keeps emergency status and hospital-availability alerts live as they change.
